Odessa Florida is a peaceful community located within Tampa Bay Real Estate that offers its 8,000 or so residents an easy pace of life. Originally Odessa Real Estate was only located within Pasco County as far north as Hwy 54, but today stretches back into Hillsborough County and along with the Keystone area also borders Pinellas county as well.
The Keystone area of Odessa is one of the few rural-style communities left in Hillsborough County. The strong Keystone Civic Association is made up of area residents who are interested in preserving the lands, water resources, natural habitats, wildlife areas and recreational lands. They want to protect their 2 lane roads within the community and don’t want the surrounding growth to impede it. A statement from their website:
 Rural roads that transect the Keystone-Odessa community will remain in their present form (two-lane local and collector roadway connections for movement without entering major arterial highways), freely used by community residents. Urban design standards and/or traffic generated by surrounding high population centers are not to degrade the community's country roads.
Odessa Keystone Real Estate currently has a lot of older homes on larger tracts of land and many on the lakefront. Odessa Keystone also is for the equestrian community of Tampa Bay along with loving luxury estates built in the Mediterranean style with columns, travertine and tile roofs. What once was mostly a rural community, has grown from one of its original census of 700 residents taken in 1920. Today there are many newer master planned communities sprouting up with deed restrictions for those that want them.
 Odessa Keystone Real Estate choices consist of single-family, condominiums, townhouses and land lots to custom build your own dream home. Fortunately, they are all built in and amongst conservation and water areas that greatly populate the area.
 Lake Keystone is over 400 acres and sits as the largest lake in the area. Right in the vicinity are 3 lakes in a chain to navigate though them and make up another 175 acres altogether: Lake Pretty is about 80 acres, Lake Josephine at almost 50 acres and Rock Lake at 50 acres.
Lake Rogers is a beautiful, 272-acre lakefront park located in Hillsborough County of Odessa and offers lots of recreation. In addition there is also the smaller Lake Raleigh. Both lakes are dog-friendly and allow canoeing, fishing, and picnicking, biking, group camping and hiking. You will also find picnic tables and barbecue grills. Walk through the pine flatwoods and oak hammocks as you ponder these two fresh water lakes for a 2 ½ mile around. No horses or vehicles are allowed
